Our manual handling training sessions are delivered by experienced workplace physiotherapists who are experts in workplace injury prevention. We tailor our training sessions to be as specific as possible to the tasks that your staff perform, making our sessions practical and engaging.
It's our goal to provide your employees with complete injury prevention education and training. This includes best practice manual handling techniques, as well educating your employees on injury prevention principles so they understand how injuries occur and know what physical signs and symptoms to look out for to best prevent little niggles developing into fully fledged injuries.

Training Content and Structure
We tailor our manual handling training sessions to suit the specific manual tasks that your staff perform, making it as relevant as possible to your staff. We will discuss this with you at the time of your booking and advise if a site visit is recommended prior to your training session.
Our sessions are split into two parts. The first part focuses on injury prevention education and understanding manual handling techniques. The second part of the session then focuses on the specific manual tasks that your staff perform in your workplace.

Course Duration
We can tailor the length of our manual handling training sessions to suit the time that you have available, as well as factoring in the complexity of manual tasks performed by your staff. However, for your reference, the average session time is approximately 2.5 hours.

Our Trainers
All of our trainers are qualified and experienced Workplace Physiotherapists who specialise in workplace injury prevention. All of our trainers have a minimum of 10 years experience in workplace injury prevention.

Our manual handling training courses are delivered onsite at your workplace. This ensures the session is as practical and relevant as possible for your staff.
We deliver our manual handling training in Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and surrounding areas.

We have experience delivering manual handling training across most industries including manufacturing, health and aged care, personal care, maintenance and gardening, warehouse, aviation, automotive, veterinary, agriculture. Certification
You will receive a certificate from us at the competition of the training session, listing all participants and confirming their participation and competency in manual handling.

Part One - Injury Prevention Education and Manual Handling Techniques
- Education regarding how manual handling injuries typically occur.
- Education regarding injury prevention principles, helping your employees to understand what is actually happening in the body when an injury develops and how to respond to signs and symptoms to stop little niggles progressing into a fully-fledged injury.
- Education on manual handling risk assessment and identification of manual risks.
- Practical training and demonstrations of key manual handling techniques, including - lifting and putting items down, twisting and rotation, carrying, pushing, pulling, team lifting and carrying.
- Practical training and demonstrations of high-risk postures, and postural tips to make manual tasks easier and safer (includes bracing and core activation).
Part Two - Task-Specific Manual Handling Training
- Practical training and workshop of the specific manual handling tasks that your employees perform (***this is the most important part of the session as it is 100% specific to the manual tasks that your staff perform***).
- Discussion of risk mitigation and risk elimination for the manual tasks performed by employees.
- Q and A to answer any further questions related to manual handling tasks.
