Workplace Injury Early Intervention Seminar
You're invited to join Jordan Lees, Workplace Physiotherapist and WHS Consultant, as he discusses the importance of early intervention in managing workplace injuries and the consequences for a lack of early intervention for both employee and employer.
How musculoskeletal symptoms or injuries are managed in the early stages is the single most important variable determining how quickly and successfully one recovers from an injury.
Unfortunately however, after visiting hundreds of workplaces across all industries in my capacity as a workplace physiotherapist and WHS consultant, it is my experience and observation that injury early intervention is typically poorly managed in the workplace.
It's my goal with this seminar to help all organisations understand why early intervention is so important in managing workplace injuries, as well as why and how early intervention is so important in preventing injury reoccurrence and future injuries.
The following topics will be covered during this session:

The following topics will be covered during this session:
- The process of how physical symptoms develop and accumulate in the workplace (hint - think exponentially). Recognising the different stages of physical symptom presentation when reported by an employee helps you as the employer to determine the most appropriate intervention.
- What timeframe constitutes as early intervention.
- Why early intervention is so important in managing injuries and how it is so effective.
- How early injury intervention also helps to prevent injury reoccurrence and future injury.
- The mental health benefits of early intervention and why this is so important for complete injury resolution (and for future injury prevention).
- What interventions can you as the employer provide directly to your employee, and what should you consider outsourcing?
