At the end of this session you will have learned how to better manage the physical health of your employees and prevent employees' niggles and pain getting to the point of time off work, or a workers' compensation claim.
As an added bonus, improved physical health is closely associated with improved mental health (and vice versa), something that will only become more relevant to the workforce moving forwards.

For your reference, we will be running a follow up session to this session that focuses on psychological wellbeing, delivered by one of our partners specialising in organisational psychology.

The following topics will be covered during this session:
- Understanding the difference between discomfort, pain and injury, and how one progresses to the next.
- Understanding why early intervention is so important and the complications involved in managing a musculoskeletal condition as it progresses from discomfort to pain to injury (i.e. if symptoms are not addressed in the early stages).
- Understanding how to triage conditions and symptoms appropriately, in respect of knowing what symptoms need immediate intervention to prevent exacerbation, compared to those that are less serious.
- What are the best early intervention strategies and injury management techniques to minimise the consequences of musculoskeletal injuries.
- Understanding how physical symptoms and pain influence psychological wellbeing, and vice versa.
